Troubleshooting

If Player does not Play video:

  1. Ensure you have pressed “Play” by hovering over the video and pressing the button with the triangle symbol on it.
  2. Clear your cache and history.  First determine which browser and version you are running.  This can typically be found under the “Help” menu and click “About”.  Then, click the following link, locate your browser and version in the list and follow the information. http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache
  3. Restart your browser.
  4. Restart your PC.
  5. Go to http://www.youtube.com/ and test any video.
  6. Clear cache and history a second time.
  7. Update your browser to the latest version your Operating System will support, reboot your PC and try again.
  8. Test your connection to the internet.  View a few different media sites like Weather.com or your local news station and try out the videos there.
  9. Test your internet connection speed.  Go to http://www.speedtest.net/ and click “Begin Test”.  Phase V recommends at least a basic DSL download speed of 1.0 M and upload speed of 768 K.
  10. Reboot your Cable or DSL modem.
  11. Reboot your router (if one is used).
  12. Call your cable or DSL provider’s support line and request them to “refresh” your signal.  Wait 5 minutes and try again.
  13. Ensure your virus software is up to date and run a “FULL SCAN” on your hard drive.  Clean/quarantine any infections located, reboot and try again.
*Ensure your software or Windows / Mac Firewall is not blocking the content of the website.

*Note:  If unfamiliar with the more technical aspects of making changes to your PC, please consult an IT Specialist, your internet provider, or PC manufacturer for assistance as making incorrect changes can cause system instability and other issues with your computer.
