Membership Benefits

Members of the Naples Council on World Affairs receive many benefits:

  • Attend lectures by distinguished speakers with expertise in foreign affairs and diplomacy in person or via livestream during the November to April season
  • View archived videos of lectures on the website
  • Attend small luncheons with speakers if you donate $250 to join the President's Club
  • Participate in Great Decisions (weekly small group discussions mid-January to mid-March) for a small additional fee
  • Receive invitations to additional lectures and special events, such as the biennial National War College program
  • Join NCWA's Foreign Affairs Book Club, which discusses a selection of books paralleling the lecture series and Great Decisions topics
  • Enjoy publication discounts and travel benefits with other chapters of the World Affairs Councils of America (WACA).
  • Support a small village infrastructure program overseas
  • Support and/or volunteer for a strong Model United Nations competition for area high school students sponsored by NCWA in partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University
  • Deepen understanding of what's going on in the world by subscribing to the free DailyChatter newsletter about global trends and issues.
  • Attend the Annual Dinner, a highlight every spring featuring an expert speaker to wrap up the season
  • Check the "News and Announcements" section on our Home page and tabs on the menu bar for information on additional activities 
  • Participate in or support a variety of School Programs supporting students and teachers in Collier and Lee Counties, including:
    -- local competitions in middle and high schools that test students' knowledge of global
    -- scholarships for summer study at U.S. and international universities that provide a taste of        
    careers in international relations and diplomacy
    -- an annual Teacher of the Year Award

    Current membership fees are $140 for an Individual or $250 for a Family (two persons at the same address). Membership is limited by the size of the lecture hall.
