Energy Security Challenges for the 21st Century

Anne Korin, Co-Director of the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security will address the Naples Council on World Affairs on Monday, April 9th, at St. John the Evangelist’s Kiney Hall, 625 111th Avenue, at 3:45 and 7:30 pm.

As the Middle East rumbles through revolutions, Iran continues its march toward nuclearization, and billions in China and India rise in poverty, what are the implications of oil’s status as a strategic commodity to geopolitics and the prospects of economic recovery? What can we do to reduce the strategic importance of oil and how will action or inaction affect the U.S. and foreign economies?
