The Council’s guest speakers serve the Council’s approximately 2,000 members and also are encouraged to speak at a local high school. Most agree to do so. Since this program began about ten years ago, more than 50 Council speakers have addressed more than 5,000 students and teachers in ten high schools in Collier County. Notices of speakers who have offered to speak at a school are distributed to social studies department chairs. Interested teachers may contact Mimi Gregory at mgregs@comcast.net to schedule a speaker for his/her school.
