Robert Pendergrass grew up in Cincinnati and attended Cornell University, obtaining a Chemical Engineering Degree in 1963. After Cornell NROTC, he spent two years as as a US Navy Destroyer Officer in Viet Nam. After three years at Procter & Gamble engineering, he returned to Cornell to obtain both a Masters in Engineering and an MBA. Following a 1971 scholarship to Universite de Louvain (Belgium) Robert worked in sales, marketing and general management throughout Northern Europe for Raychem (headquarters Palo Alto CA) and Domino Printing Sciences (Cambridge, England). From 1998 to 2003 he held several consulting positions in Germany, China, and the USA. Returning to Naples in 2001, Robert continued with his interest in golf and took up tennis. In Pelican Bay he was elected to the Foundation Board where he served as Chairman in his last of the six years. His interest in NCWA began with participation in the lecture series and Great Decisions. |
